What is it about all these old rock guitarists showing their flakiness at an OLD age? Aren't you suppose to grow older and wiser?

No class. No class at all.

You would think that the kind of money this guitar will probably go for is just spare change for a big star like Joe Perry... At least he could have auctioned it for charity... sad :(

i wonder how long Joe Perry has had the loaner guitar in his possession. Not that it really matters.

Knowing that it's a loaner instrument from the manufacturer, I wouldn't feel right at all about even bidding on it. Feels like I'd be buying stolen property.

Buy it back, give it to BP, and let him auction it off for charity. If you've got $1-2K laying around. :)

I guess based on the link to his website it is real - my mistake - apologies Joe - I really liked you up until this thread! (only kidding legal team)

I see he does a BBQ Sauce - maybe as payback BP needs his own BBQ product line???

Suggestions on a thread to ::D

Never liked Joe, his sound/tone, or his playing. This incident only adds to the dislike. I wonder how long BP's list is of "People I won't loan things out to."

Smellybum, maybe for marketing you can have Joe's face represent the crapper. Oh yeah, Joe you get no royalities from the sale of this product.

officialaerosmith is the seller.

This guitar was never loanded. We call up Ernie Ball today and
talked to his grandson (who now runs it) to double check things.
He said the guitar was ours and whatever we wanted to do with
it was our choice. Joe has owned and used this guitar for over 6
years and is his property. I notice some confusion on that
posting about that but Joe and myself assure you that it is his
guitar. I assure you this is not a loaner. I am sorry for all the
confusion surrounding this. Hope this clears things up!

Thanks,
Tony

Answer Of The Official

Hey guys I just copy and paste the answer that I got from Joe´s camp without comment, alright.
I think we just leave it to that because nobody of us really knows what the deal was. Leave it to BP...but I think he already made his opinion clear.

Quote:

Mick,
Thanks for the link.
You can post up that most of the money is going to charity and some are
expenses for posting and managing the auction itself.
"Times are not tough" for Joe we are just in the process of just thinning
out gear that has been accumilated for 30+ years of collecting.
We are running out of room to store and keep track of everything so thought
it would be a great opportunity for the fans to get a piece
of Joe's personal collection. If you notice the two auctions we have we did
not use a reserve price and we are not starting at crazy high prices.
We want to give an opportunity all the fans to be able to have a chance and
not just hold out for the highest dollar. We will also be posting various
items via the Rock Your World site for set prices on a first come first
serve basis. Again that also insures that fans will be able to
get a crack at it and not have to fight off collector bidders on eBay.

Joe has owned and used this guitar for over 6 years and is his property. I
notice some confusion on that posting about that
but Joe and myself assure you that it is his guitar.

Also if you do copy and paste this can you please do not include my personal
email address? Please use [email protected]
