Has anyone heard anything about how the new cobalt strings will wear frets in comparrison to nickle or stainless? I've been using EB stainless on all of my basses for a very long time, and I just switched back to nickle so that I could reduce wear on my vintage or rare pieces. Now that cobalt is out, it seems like a great alternative, but I can't find anything on wear? Last night we played live with my new cobalts, and the sound and feel definitely put them on the map. FYI; They sounded very round and definite, and they had a great feel too.
