Dreadge, Thanks for the congrats on the AL. It's a really great guitar and fun to play. For the Morse Y2D that I have, the only difference from the standard model is the rosewood neck and that is what makes it a BFR. It's one of the ones made during the month that RW necks were available last year. I really can't comment on if the wood makes a difference as I have never played a Morse with a standard neck for a long enough time. I can say the RW certainly feels different than the standard neck. The tone of the guitar is great and really versatile, but sometimes I think that the morse pickups are thin sounding and lack bottom end punch in comparison to my other guitars. My preferred guitar for tone is the 25th anniversary, which may be due to the chambers and the use of Axis style pickups. Mike
Hello Mike Y, congratz on that BFR AL HH model really happy for you! I have a question about Steve Morse BFR. Is that a slight wood change on the model, i see there is now a RW neck, so does it makes that much diffrence in the sound because the SM pickups are a bit diffrent when they are put on a guitar with another kind of wood! Thank you!
