i have a technical question regarding ebmm evh pickups from 1991-95.i own 3 of these guitars [92-93-93]and one axis [1997].3 are hardtails.my question is about the pickups in the evh guitars versus the axis guitars.here's the question.how can you tell them apart? did the evh guitars have a round sticker in the bottom of the pickup with a PAF script in the middle of it or we're the pickups marked ''DIMARZIO USA'' in the back of them?i've pulled the pickups on the evh guitars and i get the small round sticker with PAF written on it.i've also pulled the axis pickups and it is marked ''DIMARZIO USA''.so to finalize this post,would it be true that evh pickups had different bottoms or markings at the bottom of the pickups than the axis guitars wich were produced after the evh series guitar.i know there is a definite sound difference in the two series of these guitars.can someone please shed some light on this situation.maybe dudley or sterling?anyone else please and thank you.
