Dan,
Thanks for the info! I ordered that 5 string as well as my transparent orange from JD at Corner and they came at the same time if I remember correctly.
Thanks again for the info!

anyone able to say what colour this actually is?
when I ordered it the guy said black, but greeny/browney depending on the light, and here it looks more of a reddy colour, and with an almost sparkley glittery look to the paint.
The only other SUB I have seen in person was a teal one, which didn't have the glittery bit to the finish, and was also a lot less textured...
So I am not completely sure what the colour is, I think the closest would be cinnamon or black, but I thought the black was more, well, black, and the cinammon a lot brighter in colour...
Any ideas?
I will take some better pictures later on and the serial and so on if you want it for the colours page (though I don't know if you are wanting the SUB's)
David
David,
This is definitely not black! This was the last color we added to the SUB line of instruments. The official color is known as Textured Cinnamon.
And yes, even though we don't make the SUBs any more, you are most welcome to share more pics if you so desire!
Dan
There's a couple of better shots too, the colour changing with the light really, mostly the reddish colour, but often a much darker shade or greeny colour (like the second picture)
The top picture came out very like the picture of the SUB Sterling on the mainsite, while in real life it does seem a bit darker to me (then again it is winter and not particularly nicely lit at the moment)

I got this SR5 HH off ebay.
The seller describes as vintageburst but I think it is Cherryburs and "bill" thinks it is Honeyburst
What colour is it![]()

I would actually disagree - to me it looks like a Honeyburst.

Hi, I received the bass this morning and the colour on ebay photos were redder than actual colour of the bass and I am sure it is Honeyburst, but whatever it is its a beautyI questioned for birthday and official colour of this bass at serial number thread so I should know it for sure. When I get a chance I will put up photos but my file attachment capacity is limited so I don't know how to show photos

Best way to tell would be pics taken in daylight - flash photos are always deceptive! From the sounds of it then it is honeyburst - cherryburst can look pinker and more orangey under flash lighting.
