OT - Trying to Catch Up

    Forumites,

Been out of action for a couple of weeks, picked up Viral Labrynithitus which is an infection of the inner ear which screws around with your balance and effectively gives you constant/near constant vertigo. Couldn't look at a computer screen for two weeks without wanting to either throw up or pass out.

However, I'm 95% back to normal (well normal for me) and was back in time to play our first ever outdoor gig. It was a Health Clubs annual firework night party and we played an outdoor set to 1200-1500 people - by far the biggest crowd we have ever played to. The health club manager hired in a professional sound team so we only had to bring our axes and back line. We had a big outdoor covered stage - which was just as well as it was pissing down most of the time. It felt just like Glastonbury to us and it was nice as all our kids (11 amongst the 5 band members) could come to see us for the first time.

When I came off stage and came back to my family, my SIX year old girl offered up unprompted:

"Daddy, your band are really good...... well, some parts were a little rusty!............."

I blame the X Factor, Simon Cowell has a lot to answer for!!!

Not sure if my cousin's photos will be up to much but if any decent ones come out I will offer them if someone is able to host them.

Oh, yeah......... Is it still only me using a stingray through a "Line 6 POD XT Live"?

    Lefty,

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I have a similar symptom, but mine is a result of writing code since 1982.

Holy crap Lefty! I’m glad you’re up and around. I hope those photos turn out good, like to see them.

Make sure you take your medicine, get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids….
