Hi, Rod.
I didn't see my new Bongo in the list, so here is the info:
Fretted EBMM Bongo 5-string, HHP, Lava pearl, white ice pickguard, s.n. F13353.
Is is possible to know its D.O.B.?
Thanks in advance for your attention!
Alvabass...the list is not exhaustive and I don't have enough comparison serials to work out when it was made. All I can say is late 2004 or early 2005.
But EB will give you the D.O.B. if you email their customer service. When you find it oit, let me know and I'll place it on the list.
.
Thanks, Rod. I've just sent an e-mail to EBMM customer service. As soon as I get the D.O.B. I'll send it to you.

Hi again, Rod.
I've just got a response from Mr. Scott Applegate. He says that the instrument was made in April 2005. He didn't give me an exact date.
BTW, is the original owner info relevant for your database? Just in case, here's mine:
Name: Alvaro Martín Gómez Acevedo.
City: Bucaramanga.
State: Santander.
Country: Colombia, South America.
Purchased through Consolidated Music, Miami, FL. I'm almost sure that this is the first Bongo in my country, since I haven't seen others in colombian e-bay type sites. (But why sell a treasure like this?)

Congrats on your new Bass and thanks for the added info including the D.O.B.
I'll be updating the serial list very soon now.

Most certainly will Sir!
Did you just buy it? Got a nice high res pic you can send?

I love that combination. It's a magic colour. To me, Black Cherryburst is the next generation Sunburst
Oh!...and welcome to the Forum![]()
If you want to find out the age of any pre-Ernie Ball Stinray bass, just take the neck off. The date is stamped into the wood on the neck and body. It's just that simple. I tried to find serial number info on my '78 Stingray to no avail but when I removed the neck to refinish the horribly battered body the date was right there.
I bought it on 9-6-05 at the Guitar Center (NY).Originally Posted by Rod Trussbroken

Almost forgot: the d.o.b. is 5-3-05 (thanks to Music Man's Scott Ball)
