Hello Guys! I was wondering if I could get some information on my recently acquired black sparkle Sterling. The serial # is F03080. Thanks a bunch!
TC, your Black Sparkle Sterling with a Rosewood board and a matching headstock was completed on 09/19/00 and was originally shipped to Strait Music in Austin, TX.

Hi,
I have a sunburst stingray 4 fretless, serial number D 07816. However the neck pocket date says Sept 16, 1987. It can be viewed here.
Can you tell me anything about that instrument, and about some of the date confusion?
Thanks.
Thanks for your help.
Oki, no problems![]()
Hey guys,
I just bought a new Stingray 5, serial number E57175.
Any chance i could get some info on it? Woods used, pickup types, birth date etc.?
Thanks heaps,
Mike
The new SR5 should have ceramic pickups (same as the sr4 now), unless of course it's been there for a while in which case the pickups might be alnico, you can answer that question yourself if you know it literally just came in maybe a month ago or less or if it's been there a while. The wood should be ash as is standard with all rays (i think)
