Hello,
I was fortunate to recently pick up a DD 4-String Fretless HS Bongo used with serial # F18032. Any information about her would be greatly appreciated. Also do you by chance know how many DD Fretless Lined 4-String Bongos were produced in total?
Thank you so much for your help!
-Matt
Matt, your Dargie Delight was built on 4/18/07 and was shipped to Bass Central. Your bass appears to be the only Bongo 4 fretless in the HS configuration, lined or not.

Jon, it is entirely possible that it is simply NOS (New Old Stock). Perhaps it was ordered for a customer who put a deposit on it but never picked it up. It may have been in the distributor's warehouse for a long while before being shipped to the stockist, where it may have also sat for a time. In any event, the warranty begins when the end user (possibly yourself) takes it and gives it a good home. It does take sometimes a month, even two, to get to the U.K. from here as we have to wait until there is enough product to ship in order to keep freight costs down. In any event, wouldn't let that be enough to keep me from an instrument-

Yep Dan you're exactly right, i probably would have gone for it anyhow its just the listing was a bit vague and the seller hadnt goten back to me yet about the questions i have so i just needed piece of mind incase it gets snapped up by someone else soon
Cheers for all your help Dan it's been second to none and just adds another reason to the list to buy a Musicman!
Kind Regards

Hi there,
I've literally just registered but have now owned my Stingray for almost a year. Was wondering when it was born? Serial is L03402. Its a lefty and i was wondering how common my particular one is with the matching headstock and all especially in the UK?
thanks for your time
Felpsy
Felpsy, welcome to the Forum! Your Blue Pearl StingRay lefty with a rosewood board and matching headstock was completed on Oct 14 2004 and was of course sent to our distributor in the U.K. I suppose the color and the fact that the headstock is matching makes your bass not all that unusual as Blue Pearl is a fairly popular finish, but my guess is you may have one of the only lefty versions like it in the country ... if not the only one.
Cheers and congrats!
Dan
