Yes Dan i was there i remember you now.Art Mauney was the Store manager he left Hames shortly after i did.He is co owner of a small music store in Boiling Springs N.C. now Bulldog Music.
Hames Music is just a shell of what it was in the 90s.After Randall Hames the main owner died in a plane crash everything went to crap. His brothers Byron and Gilbert sold out around 2002-2003.
New owners dropped alot of lines of guitars and amps including EB Guitars among other things PA stuff etc.In the 90s Hames was ranked in the top 25 music retailers in the United States for quite a few years. We sold ALOT of EB guitars and accesories.
I used to do all the string orders can't remember the guy i dealt with at EB he used to send me some goodies when i done large string orders.I miss those days.
John Dill
John, It would have been Johnny Young until 1997 - then we switched territories to make room for the new kid, one Derek Brooks, who is now in charge of Artist Relations. He handled Hames until probably mid-1999.
