    i checked the serial number things and mine isnt on there. its E25017. can i please get a DOB. its a sunburst color

    4/27/05 is your StingRay's date of completion. We show it as a Vintage Sunburst with a rosewood fretboard.

    stcheez, congrads on your new Bongo 4! We show it as being completed on 11/25/03. It was originally sent to Bay Tunes in Edgewater, Maryland.

    Thanks so much for the info--that 5th string is still giving me fits, but not with the left (fretting) hand--it's the extra stretch for the fingers of my right hand that's my main problem. But the bass is so beautiful, and it feels great, and I'm sure if I keep in in my hands for enough hours it will feel as natural as the 4-stringers I've played for over 35 years.
