    Thumbs up New Family Picture

I finally took delivery of my Buttercream HS SR5 today (it actually showed up on Friday, but I was out of town all weekend), so without talking too much, I figured I'd post a new family pic.

I need to spend some more time with the SR5, but initlally I'm very impressed. It plays and sounds great, plus it's a totally different beast from my Bongo. Exactly what I'm looking for!

My apolgies for the double posts here and at the Dudepit. What can I say, I'm a happy guy!

    From left to right:

Your killin' me. Everytime I see a blank-plank Bongo, it makes we want to try fretless. Beautiful Basses!

Thanks guys! The fretless Bongo is a good time for sure. I've been planning this setup for a while. Maybe some time down the road there are some other things I'd like to add, but this covers everything I could need and then some!

I totally forgot to thank Jack, Steve, BP and the EB/MM crew. This is the first time in longer than I can remember that going to music stores isn't fun! Every bass I've played recently hasn't measured up to the ones I have at home, at least in my eyes.

Hey it's OK, spead the word everywhere; EBMM builds great basses and you have a few of them, enjoy my friend!

Things were going pretty well, then I had the weekend away from home. I guess it's similar to when I was practcing for my music school auditions (I played piano for a long time). I would work and work and work, then take a little bit of time off, usually no more than a couple days. WHen I would return it would almost be as if my brain had imposd soome useful order on all the things I had worked on before the break, and things would flow much easier. I am far from a virtuoso on the instrument, but I can feel things becoming more comfortable under my finger tips. Of course, I went and bought five string, so I have plent of other things to work on! At least I won't be bored.

Agreed! I decided that not only did I love the way these all played and sounded, but I also appreciate and support the way the company seems to be run. I appreciate innovation, looking toward the future rather than the past, and the "no BS" attitude. I'd rather spend my money with a company like EB/MM than others. This is not to say I'll never own another brand of bass, but just that I'm very happy where I'm at now.

If at all possible, could you post some pics of the CBP Bongo? I'm about to order a CBP HH SR5 and i've never seen that color on a Bongo.
