bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.
Stingray 5 Classic, coral red
Bongo 5 H, Dargie Delight, in some cave somewhere...
Bongo 5 HH, Black w/ rosewood neck

OK. Thanks Strummer. Guess it's impossible to measure the roundness of the neck, since they're not always symmetrical. Like the Warwick I once tried out, it's neck felt like holding a 2x4 block of wood. And a Warrior bass' neck is nearly flat.Originally Posted by strummer

Actually, It is very simple. I don't know the proper english term for the tool, but we call it a measuring comb. Think of a regular, fine toothed comb, but the individual pins can slide up and down. Press it against the neck to get a neck profile reading, and there you are. Put the comb flat on a piece of paper and draw the shape.Originally Posted by Freddy-G.

I've always felt like the SR necks were a bit thicker than the Bongo necks. I have never played a SR that was love at first pluck like it was with the Bongos. The neck was a big draw for me.
Of course, that doesn't keep me from drooling over the dual pickup SRs.![]()
