    No Heart

I like BMW cars but I don't like the Bongo shape - it reminds me of a heart transplant.
I think the SR5 is one of the nicest designs around tho', maybe the scratchplate helps with that.
My SR4 I quite like too so now I'm waiting for EB to design a new body that will make me feel like some of you do about your beloved Bongies.

I really like the Sr5 design. I really like sterlings in person, but pictures on the interweb confuse me.

The Bongo took a bit of arm twisting for me to accept it, but after I played one, it made a huge difference on my opinion (I'm on my second B4 purchase).

Your mileage may vary. I do loves me an SR4, as well!

I had one of those (Stealth Bongo HSc w/Black Ice pg) that I traded to Old Toe for his Stingray.

It was a TONE-MONSTER, and looked outright mean!

Can't wait to get my single-H B4, though.

if you're going to dis the Bongo can you change your name to pan_of_nsw? Of course I'm only joking, but you should check one out the tone is unbelievable. Where in Brisbane are you, as maybe I could organize one for you to try out?

Bongos don't look that bad when seen in action. Witness the Cowpilot gig pics. Maybe Jack just makes them look good. I mean, compared to him....

I thought the Bongo's were a little odd-looking at first, but it didn't take long for me to warm up to them. I really think they're very unique, very cool basses. And then, when you add in the fact that they sound AMAZING, well, I can't help but have serious GAS for one. I wish I could justify picking one up, but I have too many basses in my arsenal right now. For now, my SR5 holds down the EBMM part of my fort.

I also think that dual-humbucker, Graphite Pearl finish, Black Ice pickguard Bongo is one of the sexiest basses out there. I'll have one of those some day.

All you need to do is get yourself a bongo and lock yourself in a dark room and play it.

Once that is done every other bass on the face of this earth will sound less than what you heard in the dark.

I like the look of the Bongo, especially the two hanging on my wall.

I just don't think they look that different than the other EBMM family, all of which are beautiful of course. When playing a bass, any bass, you can't see much of it anyway, the neck mostly. Unless you practice naked in front of a mirror like me. Really it's the audience that gets to look at it, and what the hell do they know.
