    Back in the saddle

After a 10-month layoff, we finally played a gig!

35 min set to a 300+ crowd of mainly 15-18 year-olds (at 35 I'm old enuff to be their Dad!). They were great, slam dancing & going crazy. My friends who came along joined in and went nuts too!

We even had stage divers - woo hoo!

Oh and we were super-tight and played a blinder, prolly the best yet.

All my buddies know how much I love my Rays. I used my hybrid Burnt Apple Burst Sparkle with Status neck and it turned a lot of heads.

Thing is, I wanna do it every night now!

Doing it live is what it's all about for me.

Excellent! I agree, live is where it's at!

Once lacrosse season is over I'm going to seek another gig.

I'm glad you are out there doing it again, and keep us posted... pic are always cool too.

There is nothing better than that after gig experience. Especially when you are playing at your best.

Sounds like you had a blast.

I agree. Playing live is definitely what it's all about for me too. If I couldn't do that, I would probably quit playing.
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

Playing live is definitely a rush! I love the post-gig feeling, too. I'll usually stay wound up for a few hours after it's over, even when I'm exhausted.

    Thanks fellas.

    It is the best, eh?

Waiting for pix to come through from various sources, will post when available.

Hey Larry, my 12 year old got her Devon Rex at the weekend. They are ugly little buggers but very lovable, she's tiny and I'm no cat man, but she sure is a cutie. I'll sort out some pix of her too when I can. They say Speilberg had one and it was the inspiration for ET (and possibly gremlins too!)

Sorry - went way OT there!

No. The Dr. Evil cat is part of the Rex breed, but it's a Sphinx.

    I have a Cornish Rex.

I would definitely like to see some pics of your Devon Rex, JB1. I can't believe you remebered that I have a Cornish Rex. All of the Rex cats that I've been around have very extreme personalities. They are really fun to have around.

BTW - It's your thread, you can go off topic any time you want.

Larry, I guess it's something that just stuck in my mind! I'm not a stalker honest.

I'll also remember you now for your BC HH Bonger - yikes that's a hot bass!

No doubt my daughter will have a whole raft of pix by tonight (I cleared the mem on her camera at the weekend), so they'll be on my photobucket soon.

I love Rex's - they're mental but with the psychopathicness that tends to accompany Siamese

Give us a link to your photobucket as soon as you have pics. I have no cat now so am reduced to trying to kidnap everyone elses's!

    Will do Azzy.

The kitten's only 9 weeks so we'll see how she turns out. She has 2 mad Balinese and a beligerent[sic] moggy for company so a certain madness will no doubt prevail.....

OK JB1, you're going to have to tell me what a "moggy" is.

Is it what we would call an alley cat?
