OT: I am alive but not whole anymore

Went in for emergency gall bladder surgery. Just got out today. Most intense pain I have ever been in. Morphine trumps meditation anyday. Looks like I got some catching up to do. Hopefully won't be too annoying as I can't go back to work until thursday.

Hope all is well in the world of EBMM.

    Tom

Sorry to hear about that Tom. There goes the mountain biking for a while, but maybe you can pick up a bass pretty soon. Get well!

I had mine removed a couple of years ago. The surgery isn't too bad, but I can imagine the pain was pretty severe. Luckily, mine was removed before I had any real pain from it. Kick back and enjoy the vicodin.
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

I had mine out about 4 years ago. I had two attacks before I got surgery, but it wasn't "emergency" surgery.

My first attack I was beating my head on the counter trying to knock myself out the pain was so bad. So, I've been there, done that, got the high octane prescription medication. The surgery was a piece of cake, though. I actually walked down/up a flight of stairs carrying my dachsund out to pee less than 24 hours later. Getting in and out of bed was a beeyotch, but once I was vertical, it was all good.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

When I had that surgery, I came home, flopped down in my recliner and would wake up every now and then to take another vicodin. I spent the whole week like that. It was kind of like a vacation.
