    Tell you what to do, Get a bongo and try the MXR blowtorch distortion.

    Get a guitar distortion box.....the Boss Bass Distortion doesn't have enough balls to it.

    a guitar distortion doesn't offer the wet/dry mix control.


    if you do get a guitar pedal, get a rat.

    I have a ODB-3. Its not a bad pedal for what I use it for (not much).

    I too use the ODB3, mostly just to mess around with between songs, and when we play Hash Pipe, or to do the big rock star ending to some songs. I haven't messed with the settings too much, but I do like the wet/dry blend knob.

    I like to use it to add a little dirt/gain. It is nice to add some sustain when you are doing stuff with delay or some tapping.
