Hey Beth,
If I were a fisherman, would my sig need to be "Carpe Carp"?
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

Beth, your thread has officially been hijacked.
If I were into floor coverings would my sig need to be "Carpe Carpet"?
or
if I were a devout Christian would my sig need to be "Carpe Carpenter"?
Sorry Beth, I do not own a Silhouette bass guitar.

Fret more, worry less.
Bongo only bass in Tom's life.
Blank-Plank Egyptian Smoke Bongo4H "Nefertiti"
The only time I've even seen one was at the open house concert with BP laying down some serious funk! I loved the clavinet like character in the upper register and the damn snappy bass end.
If it came in a lefty, I’d buy one in a New York minute! (Not the “Bahaman” minute, which could actually last up to an hour…)

Can you play "Stairway to Heaven" on one?

I was wondering how well it sold myself. Ive never seen anyone play one. Or for that matter Ive never seen any one play a fender Bass VI. I always wondered and please I dont mean any offence when I say this, but what is the point of these instruments?? There guitars an octave lower right? And if so, why not just buy a bass??

I demand to own one of these silhouette bass guitar products.
It should be transparent green sparkle, with no pickguard, binding on the neck and body, spalted maple top and ebony fretboard with no inlays and i want a left handed headstock with a right handed logo.
that's my challenge to dargin.
create that and I'll buy you such a beer.

I don't consider Silos to be "bass guitars" but rather "baritone guitars"...am I wrong on this?
Hi Steve,
Hmmm...I'm corresponding with a customer in Hong Kong who I think could pitch in some opinions on the subject. Check our FAQ here:

my bass teacher has a 6 string piccolo bass that he tunes BEADGC like a 6 string bass but an octave higher its a 30" scale which is similar to the silhouette bass, but its modelled after a carl thompson bass. he does some really cool stuff with it though.
Very interesting Beffie....Hey, I thought I ordered two 20th Silos with Dargin at NAMM but I don't see them on the VBTC outstanding order list I got in from Dan last week???
Hey Steviebelina,
I see 'em on there, a 550 80 21 00 and a 560 80 10 00, right? Those 20th Silhouettes are absolutely STUNNING. You'd better put more on order!![]()

Dooh...I see em now...these text files are very difficult to read but I guess Excel spreadsheets are out of the question with BP huh?
Thanks Beffie!!
I'll stick with just two for now but if they sell well for me I'll order more before cutoff...I still have a crapload of 30th Ray's to move or else I'm scrubbing BP's toilets with a tootbrush.
