Question a "Mod Corner" or "Chop Shop" sticky???

Would it be an idea to possibly have a sticky that involves all questions and responses to loving, devout Music Man players and their personal tweaks to their instruments??

to avoid ill worded thread titles and to give those wanting to do a mod a place to post without constant flamage?

seriously though, do you think it'd be an option?

There are already lots of places to go and talk to your hearts content about modified EB/MM instruments without worry of being flamed. Personally, I don't think BP's $erver is the place for it.

Changing out your pickup, or preamp voids your warranty. Period. So, I doubt they want to encourage the behavior or give a venue for the practice. When someone burns out the preamp when they try to re-install it and whine about it here, no good can come of it. It can only be a pain in BP's ass and no one wants that, right?

That's it. Those who've replaced their MM strap buttons with strap locks, out.

As hard headed as I am I agree with the last 5 posts.

I have never intentionally flamed anyone that I thought needed help.

You break it you bought it is how I view changes. You break it and are happy So mote it be. Go on be happy just don't come here and tell me to try it as I I am happy with what EB produceded or I wouldn't have bought it.

    Once again
    IMHO

don't worry, didn't plan on telling anyone what to do, nice assumption. It was merely a suggestion seeings that when ever anyone comes on here talking about a mod or tweak they immediately get flamed and that just doen't seem like the 'ever evolving' landscape of EBMM's instruments. Hell, what's so trad about a truss rod wheel and a compensated nut? NOTHING and that's the beauty of this company! just thoguht that a few of us who continue the evolution of the species outside of the R&D room might be afforded a 'sticky' to quick refrence rather than starting threads that get heated and misunderstood.

    anywho....

Strap locks are not a mod with me. It is just what I do and it don't change sound or my happiness with my bass. It is insurance only as I know EB buttons to be the best of any I have ever seen.

I try to never scratch or even blame my bass for failure. I first look to myself and if I am sure it isn't my fault then I investigate further.

I am old and probably full of crap ( could be a build up over time ).

Yes, I firmly believe we need a Mod Corner to where we can send the moderators when they get uppity.
