    Pickup comparision

    Hi all.

When I got my new (to me) Stingray a few weeks ago, it came with a SD Basslines pickup installed (with the original in the case, of course).

I played it for a little while, then decided to swap the original back in. Glad I did!

Here's a comparison clip for your ears.

    Clip

The Basslines is first, then the original. Flat EQ, straight into my computer. Pardon the sloppy playing!

At least the PO had the sense to keep the original pickup.

    Interesting

Don't show that clip when youtry to sell the basslines on the bay, though
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

    Stingray 5 Classic, coral red
Bongo 5 H, Dargie Delight, in some cave somewhere...
Bongo 5 HH, Black w/ rosewood neck
Heinz The Wonder Bass, going back to Jack...
