maple top stingray? (not 20th anniv.)

    check it out:

saw this guy with a band called the enchanted apes at the 10k lakes fest in MN last week. didn't get a good look at his bass til i saw it in the pic archives but it looks to be flame maple. here's another look:

you can see it's a two band and the pickguard is screwed on. couldn't get a good look at the headstock. maybe it's just an illusion? finish checking?

hmm...doesn't look like a genuine stingray body. The upper horn is too narrow.

Looks to me like the elephant ears are sticking up too far above the head to be a MM.
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

It's not an OLP, though, because they have a distinctly different colored back (brown) and larger bridge.

Body is too narrow as well.OLP probably. Or even worse, perhaps a really really no name knock off.

OTOH it does appear to have the big post/bolts at either end of the bridge. Only for-real EBMMs have that, right?

Check out the pants on that guy over on stage right!!!

Geetard appears to be using two ToobScreamers. Louder and louder?

Don't think so. Again, look at either end of the bridge. Gen-u-wine EBMMs have a pair of great big bolts with domed tops. OLPs don't AFAIK. Certainly the one in that OLP link doesn't.

The original photo that shows the whole bridge is not that clear, but I *think* I can see those two big bolts. In the closeup, at the bottom left corner you can see what looks like the edge of one of the bolts.
