    One word. Python.
    Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

    Cool

    Congratulations Eh? I'll be interested in further reviews as you 'Dig' deeper into your piezo. And thanks also for your recent amp & cab review.

    Man, Ive got to chime in again.

    I really, really dig the piezos, and what they add.

    Ill be honest. All of you know that Im a diehard EBMM fan. The ONLY other bass that moves me is just a good old P-Bass. That said, the piezo really adds a P-Bass type sound to the Ray sound. Its like having a Ray and a P-Bass in one, and it really sounds THICK.

    I would just throw some straplocks on it and play the bejeezes out of it. That and spend time looking for the missing B string.

    Man, I am so glad you like it. It was a Stingray that stopped my crave for a P Bass. I had a couple, one had THE sound, but it didn't have anything on my Stingray. Yes, I will have another one. Heads up Jack.
    Anyway, have fun with the pickguard change.

    Off to the steel drum band,

    where's my rum drink?

    Seems like a good summary in bass playerspeak of something so rich and elegant as the SR/piezo sounds;

    flats on my LB100 gives me a relaxing, earthy feeling;
    but still, nothing quite like the combined relaxation and excitement of the SR5/piezo/Slinky experience; it's almost a complete contradiction;

    it's really difficult to breakdown and analyze; the real kicker for me is the special feel of SR5 ergonomics on top of the combined subterranean (earthy) and extraterrestrial (airy) sounds;

    Thanks to EBMM for having the inspiration, guts etc to create such fine and beautiful weapons of singular and mass exuberation

    Congrats Travis! Black on black always looks good. Keep that pickguard when you try others.
