the electronics are from before they messed with them and ruined them
Someone should ask him what they did to the electronics.

And then smack him across the head with a fish.

    Nice bass, idiot seller!
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

Indeed. Perfectly good bass. Is it bad information? Is it ignorance - or a combination of the two?

Why not "This is a great bass"?

    Which it undoubtedly is.

    Cold fish to the head!

If by "fish," you mean "tire iron," I'm right there with you.

Well, I did follow this up. When I asked the seller to substantiate his claims that the new ones are rubbish and shi*e, and more particularly, why the quality of the electronics had diminished over the past 10 years, his response was thus:

"cheaper components, crappy pickups and basically a bit of a redesign.. try googling it you should find something."

In other words "I have no idea". Heck I wonder what his credentials are?

I must be insane, I've been playing and purchasing quality instruments for over 25 years. I have purchased 4 new model EB basses in the last 3 years, seems I must have a penchant for "shi*e".

If by "beer" you mean to "smash the bottle over his head" then I am in agreement
