    My SR 5 came today!!

My Egyptian Smoke SR 5 came today!! And man its beautiful!!! Thanks to Smallequestrian for selling me such a sweet bass!! Egyptian smoke is a strange finish to capture on film it looks good, but much cooler in person. With the matching headstock, its probably one of the coolest SR 5's Ive ever seen.

I liked that one when Paul had it.

    I STILL like it.

Congrats on a really nice one!

Its a good one, played and sounded great. I didn't want to part with the Ringo bass just yet and I would have had to to keep that SR5. I feel I may have to order an SR5 of some sort next year though.

    Congrats John!

That one turned around before I could even get over to Paul's to play it.
Starting to think about returning to bass playing in the very near future.

I havent had a 5 string in a while so Im having to re adjust. I always move my thumb to the string above the one Im playing to keep it from ringing and I keep pushing the B string in to the pole pieces with my thumb when I play on the other strings. May be time to learn a new technique.

The SR5 string spacing is so comfy for my short fat little fingers. Combined with a generous nut width and a nice low B it makes for fun playing.

I think the SR 5 is the best designed and easiest to play 5 string ever!!! Im so glad I got another one!! I started playing some Queen tunes on it and a little Yes after I pulled it out of the box today and it was great. Its really gonna come in handy because the guys im playing with want to start tuning down a half step on certain songs and now I can just change keys with out having to retune.
