Phatty w/ Blue Dawn (video clip)

since i was sitting around bored, IMing dr stank, i thought id record a quick clip of me playing my Blue Dawn Sterling. after quickly figuring out how to record a clip w/ my new mac I had a 3 minute impromtu clip and thought id share.

its not the best clip by any means but you can check it out on youtube at [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50PLi9PVB4c"]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/nomedia] or can get the .mov file here.

thanks buddy. i really had no idea what to play. i was on IM with stank and said "back in 3 minutes" and that's what i came up with. after i watched the clip myself i noticed that in the begining i look a bit confused too. LoL

one of these days ill stop being lazy and play something "on purpose". honestly i give props to anyone that can come up with an actual passage/solo. personally i dont have the patiance and just wing it

bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

That was fantastic!! You know I needed some more inspiration to pick up the plectrum again and that did the trick! Im pretty fast with my fingers and I know there are people out there that can do just about anything with there fingers that can be done with a pick, but I guess Im just not one of them. There are alot of things in the past that I havent learned to play (recordings that were played by players using picks) that I just didnt study or learn because I couldn't do it with my fingers. As I get older, the more I realize how stupid ive been and how ive limited my self to a whole new perspective of bass playing. Anyway that was a great video thanks for sharing!!!

Pops - i used Quicktime Broadcaster to do the recording. Its a free download from Apple: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/broadcaster/

here's some dude's blog w/ info on how to setup quicktime boradcaster to save files to disk: http://aplawrence.com/MacOSX/first_video.html?ref=foo
