Is the colour of this saphire black? Is the pickguard called abalone? Is there no info on the official ernie ball musicman site about H H stingrays or am i blind and i couldnt find it?
Cheers
hey buddy,
some info for ya... that looks like saph black w/ a moonstone pickguard. i have an hh sterling in that combo and it looks killer!!!
i have an HH ray too... they're fabulous. easily one of the top 2 basses ive ever played! they rock!!!
The MM site is indeed in need of an update and i know for a fact theyre working on it. so here's some info for you:
A description of what the 5 way switch does can be found at: http://www.ernieball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8760
Now in my opinion the sr4 hh is a GREAT BASS. you can get classic stingray tones, j bass tones, p bass tones out of the thing... and thats by only using 3 of the 5 pup positions without touching the onboard EQ. so there's a lot more fro where that came fromtheyre versetile!!!
feel free at ask specific questions and many folks here will help. also the folks at customer service will be more than happy to answer some questions too: phone number and email addr at: http://www.ernieball.com/contact/
Just put the money down on that one, cannot wait, unfortunatley i have to let my honey burst go to fund the HH and please the wife etc. Thanks for the link and all the info, you are gentlemen indeed.
Cheers
Looks like you found one, but here's another:

damm i like the colour better on that plus matching headstock. Ive already paid for the sapphire black. Murphys law would be if i waited no H Hs would be on ebay, so i paid for one and what do you know next day one appears. International shipping is limiting aswell as its a hassle for the seller. Anyway all musicmans are great and ill love this new black one.
Cheers
Don't sweat it, Mark.
Once you see the Saphire black/moonstone pg in person, you won't have any regrets. Plus, you don't see that kind of flame on MM necks too often anymore. Nice score. Not mention that i've done lots of business with Bass Emporium and they are always a pleasure. Congrats.

Good to hear that im in safe hands. Im looking forward to this bass being in my hands.
I played your bass last Thursday. The flame on the neck is incredible man. I thought my HH had some cool flame on it, but that one is truly remarkable. Plays and sounds great and the guys at the store are great people to deal with.Originally Posted by markandsophie
That is a beautiful bass!!!! I agree with the poster above, the guys at Bass Emporium are awesome!!! I have bought many high dollar items from John, and he really takes care of his cutomers, I'm in So. Cal. and he's in TX, and he has been great to deal with. Enjoy your new bass and post some pics with your new baby soon.
Will do. What are other colors out of curiosity that the new HH stingrays come in?
