You can't just use any 25K pot as they have different tapers. An incorrect taper could bunch up your vol adjustment to a specific segment of the rotation rather than having an even adjustment throughout the whole rotation range.

I suggest you buy one through Ernie Ball. They only cost a few dollars and you can be assured of getting the correct part.
