    Exclamation Dargie Delight: Say WHAT?!?!?!

I got up extra early this morning because we had to do some work in Phoenix. Just North of Bell Road. And since that is VERY close to Peoria Ave. I stopped into the local GC for a quick browse. I mentioned to one of the clerks that I had a couple of Dargie's on order. His reply left me speechless, and that doesn't happen often. He says:

"Oh yeah, the Dargie specials should be here next week".

    GASP!

Surely this young man is mistaken, or deluded, or deranged!

So, I said "Are you sure?". And he even asked some other employee to confirm it.

Surely these young men are mistaken, or deluded, or deranged!

Well, I had my adrenaline for the day.

I still say they were confused. Perhaps they were thinking of the 2006 LE models?

Either way, I am calm now after several drinks and an Alka-Seltzer.

We haven't even put them into the system yet. ( We should today or tomorrow). Delivery should be sometime in FEB.

Wait--are these just the new ones ordered last week that are coming in February, or all of the Dargie Delights? I was under the impression when I placed my order in the original window that the expected date was the end of December. I mean, it'll just mean a birthday present to myself instead of a Christmas present to myself, but I'll still be a little bummed.

We did bang out a prototype quickly, but to set up something in production usually takes months and we did it in about 6 weeks. We also won't be running the Dargie's all at once through the system so not all of them will be ready at the same time. The team has tons of projects going on too.....

Thanks for the insight, Scott. I was figuring March '07, so I'm right in line.

Just like any order...it will take time. Just an example...my LE bongo was ordered in February and will be here this Friday. Not a big deal to me...but, you still have to wait. There is a ton of stuff going on at EBMM, so patience is gonna have to prevail....it will be perfect, and that is what you want.
"Welcome to the addiction!" is now patented by Koogie2k......if used by anyone other than Koogie2k....you must mail him a US nickel for each time said/typed or signed.......

Oh, I understand completely. And, I'm cool with waiting--it's just that December was thrown around quite a bit throughout all of the Dargie threads as the time frame for delivery when the original mention of having them done by Bovinepalooza went by the wayside.

I'd rather have it done correctly than quickly. So, if it's February, then it's February. I won't be crying--it just means another couple of months that I am able to avoid buying something else while I wait.

The GC guy probably confused the Dargie Delights with that other green bass: The Jack Williams Signature model.

Those should be arriving at GCs any day now.
