    I agree. Do not play that much with a pick though. About 5% I think. But sometimes the pick is the only way to go so it's great to have it as an option. It took a lot of practice for me to get it right when playing with a pick. It felt like an "alien object" for a long time. The only thing that's harder is playing up-strokes with the thumb. So I will not be like Victor Wooten..............So what?!?

    BTW - Seeing Billy Sheehan rip through notes with BX3 this past weekend was amazing.

    I would have never thought that kind of speed was possible with out a pick. He uses all four fingers on his right hand (pinkie being the occassional plucker) and just shreds.

    Seeing is believing!



    Now, I think we're talking pics relative to tone and attack, so back to your regularly scheduled thread.
    It's all about the bass!
