    Going Legit

I have my first concert with the Ohio University jazz band tomorrow night. We just got out of the dress rehearsal, and it looks like things are going to go really well. the soundman likes the Bongo, the rest of the band's great, and our rhthm section's tight-I can't ask for more.

I'm really psyched about this, and I hope I can keep doing it-the jazz setting is a lot of fun.

Congrats. That has to be a lot of fun. In fact I would love that gig. Enjoy and play well.

    The Bongo goes to college.

I think that is just so cool.

That's great. What type of jazz do you play with them usually? Big band Glenn Miller type stuff? I used to do that type of stuff in high school, eh gawd, um I don't wanna say when...

It's a mixture of swing, big-band, and other styles-we play just about everything in the "jazz" genre.

I'm beginning to feel like I'm unintentionally copying Andrew or something...

I just got back from the concert-the band was great, and we didn't have any trouble with anything-it was one of those gigs where the players and the music transcend any physical faults and just groove.

After seeing it under stage lights, I'm really glad I paid a little extra for the Radiance Red paintjob-it looks great when you get it under enough powerful lighting.

I have a picture on my wall of me playing in Jazz Band in college. My mom took the pic and it's one of my favorites.

There will never be enough of those times in your life that it all goes well. Remember until you are so old you just can't.

    That is the good stuff.
