EBMM Basses For Sale: NO COMMENTS PLEASE!

    Guys,

Here's a new sticky for you guys to post all your for sale "ads".

    -Arin

EDIT: Don't make your first post on the forum a "For Sale" or I'll delete it. This is a free service for "members", not eBay. (jack)

    EDIT:
*Persons placing ads are required to have a minimum of 25 posts throughout the Forum over a reasonable period.
*If you sell your item please delete your post. In any event, posts older than a month or so will be deleted but if you have not sold your item in this time you are at liberty to re-post.
*Do not merely create a "For Sale" with a link to Ebay.

    Dargie Delight II Bongo HS

Updated price for EB Forum members:
    For your consideration:

Limited Edition Dargie Delight II Bongo H/S 4-string

Bongo 4-string H/S models aren't that easy to come by, and finding a Dargie Delight II in any configuration is tough, especially in this condition. Not too many of these were made.

Bass is in excellent - like new condition. Not even any belt buckle swirls on the back. I never gigged out with it and it looks fantastic.

4-band active preamp; vol, bridge/neck pickup balance, treble, high-mid, low-mid, bass. You can nail the Stingray tone easily, but can also get a much wider range of tones as well. The fingerboard on this limited editions is ebony.

The Dargie Delight II finish is beautiful. It goes from a great dark green and depending on how the light hits it, it gets a goldish tint.
In person, it looks VERY classy. I belive this is Sterling Ball's favorite of the limited colors.

Comes with hardshell case and custom made fingerboard ramp for between the pickups.

    EVEN MORE SPECIAL PRICING:
    Updated price:
$1400 shipped in the continental US.
$1375 if you don't want the ramp

    Thanks

    Electronics cavity:

Trying to show tight neck joint and matte finish on back of neck:

Fingerboard ramp and truss rod wheel:

    Abalone inlays:

The only marks I could find were a bit of swirling on the pickguard, but I couldn't even get them to show up:

Thank you Jack, I appreciate it. 7 years of lurking without much to say may not be a good thing. I appreciate the consideration, but if it'll cause more trouble than it's worth, feel free to delete the post and keep the rules in effect.

Looking to trade my Left Handed 2003 Stingray 4 Fretless for another lefty EBMM bass. This one has a gorgeous wood grain in the body and has the matching finished headstock. Its in very good shape with only a few very superficial dings that are extremely hard to photograph. Plays like a dream and sounds really sweet. Comes with a brand new Kaces brand polyfoam case which fits the bass perfectly and is really a great case. I am open to pretty much anything but especially an SR5. The more unique the color, the better. Let me know what you have in mind and feel free to email me directly at wave2004@hotmail.ca

    1. Trans Orange SR5, (Ceramic)
    2. Black Cherry Burst SR4.
    3. True Gold Bongo 5 H with Torte
    4. Black and Maple SR4
    5. Sterling Silver SR5, (Alnico)
    6. Natural SR4 Fretless
    7. Trans Red Sterling 4 Fretless

    All Lefty

I didn't want to do it, but I don't really have a choice. 3 more Collectable basses on the Block. I love them, but I don't have the resources to collect right now. This doesn't mean I'm done buying EBMM. It just means I can't afford to keep what I have that doesn't get played.

First up is a dead mint Roasted Big Al 4 SSS Black Sugar. Currently strung with DR Neon Pink Strings. I played one gig with this Bass the weekend it was delivered, and it has spent the rest of her life in a case. $1750 shipped Lower 48

Next is my beloved Mary Kaye White Stingray 4 H. This one is tough to let go of as it was a gift from my family, but we all agree its better getting played, than being hung on a wall or kept in its case. Currently strung with Thomastic Jazz Flats
This bass shows some signs of being 22 years old, minor yellow spots, and a couple of dings, nothing through to the wood. It still has functional mutes, that I believe to be original. It is in amazing shape for its age. $1500 shipped lower 48

Next is also a very rare beast. A copperhead bronze Sterling. I have no idea how many of these are out there. Mine is the only one I have ever seen. As I understand it these were made for the 2004 namm show and no dealers ordered any. The ones that were built we're distributed through guitar center. I am
not the original owner of this bass, when I purchased it it was described as "mint" condition. I would not have described as mint, maybe 9.25 out of 10, but it is in the same condition as when I received it. Striking copper orange, and a pick guard that could only be described as "copper wash" very unique and a tonal beast. Currently strung with dr neon green strings. I can include a set of coated hybrid slinkys if you would prefer. $1350 shipped lower 48.

I have additional pictures of all of these, i just didn't want to clutter the thread up any more than necessary .

All 3 of these have their original musicman cases, the trans white has the period correct tolex g and g brand. Please help me out and get yourself a piece of musicman history. You'll also be doing something to help a knucklehead in need.
I'll be adding pictures to the thread as soon as I get to my computer.

    All the Best

WTT Bongo 4 HS for Bongo 4 HH

Here is a really nice Bongo 4 HS that has been around the forum a little (LisaIs,Oldtoe, Silverburst). It began its' life as a Stealth Bongo but at some point was professionally refinished in white by Michael Dolan. All other elements of the Stealth package(tuner, bridge, pole pieces...etc.) remain intact. I believe it was made in 2005 and it is in very good condition. Has a couple of the normal headstock dings that have been touched up with a sharpie but the body is perfect. It comes with a very nice G&G tolex case.I have owned HH Bongos before and while the HS configuration sounds great, I think that I like the HH better. That being said, I would like to trade this for a Bongo 4 HH in like condition. I would also consider a Sterling HS or Big Al SSS.
    * Disclaimer:When Rex owned it he had the frets leveled and crowned by his tech. He was told there was a slight buzz with really low action that could not be fixed except by new frets or possibly shimming the neck. I haven't had any problem with it. I have it setup low and it plays great with no noticeable fret buzz to my ears.
