Seriously, the dual pups have been out about a year, but the part of the eb site with specs and images isn't up to date. And it's not only the dual pup basses that are absent, either. I think the great folks at ebmm have a bit too much on their hands, and guess they don't have the time to fix the specs pages right now. They're probably busy building basses, and that can vever be a bad thing
bovinehost: Yes, I do agree with that, but if there's nothing wrong then there's nothing wrong.
Beth: I would compare Bongo to Tommy Lee Jones. Bad a$$ and just hot in a weird way...
cheezewiz: They should take their lace thongs off and play bass.

    Thanks.
Yeah I saw that and I get that they're busy but it sucks that I have to go to Bass Central to see the dual pup Rays in different colors.

Well, just about the only reason to specifically look at a dual pup is if you consider one of the sr5 pg/finish combos that come with white pu covers, because there are no white covers on the dual pup basses. But, I understand your frustration and suggest you check out the color thread at the top of the page. Plenty dual pup rays/sterlings there:-)

one would think EBMM woudl have the money to have a webdev group that works solely on the website, like most other major companies do.

Customer service is great, but sicne the web is peoples first choice of information nowadays, maybe the priority list should be rearranged a bit

I like their priority list. It gets their basses in my hands faster. Plus, chances are someone on the forum owns an example of what someone might want to see.

I think the WEB site is extremely important, both to customers and potential buyers ... an I think it's an image issue also. I have often wanted to use the tools to config a bass, see what's available, try different combos etc. If it's a non-core business function, outsourcing might be a good option.

I think that only applies to people already on this forum. Honestly, Joe Schmoe who wants a dual PUP Stingray is not going to sift through threads and a semi-useful search function for a certain color combo. The best way to get the info out is to have it plainly on the webpage, and that will get it out to people much quicker than a couple diehard fans who will buy anything EBMM and share about it ONLY on a forum.

The webpage is much more immportant than people realize, and I think it should not be played down as much.

If I wanted info on a dual pup StingRay and didnt see it on the website, Id try and find it elsewhere, honestly.

I dont see whay this is a gripe for some. Please note that trying to make me understand why, will be a complete waste of your time.

BP is very forward thinking. I'm sure he's got something in the works but other things are taking precedence.

Maybe you should just let BP run HIS company. It's not that big a deal.

Dang, you guys are like BP Mafia! The Biff Posse!

I think it would be extremely excellent to have an "add a single coil" or "add a neck humbucker" feature on the build-an-instrument page.

Potential customers DO rely on websites to get information and I've heard (elsewhere) people complain about not having easy access to information on the new models.

I love you guys for rushing to the defense!

It would be better to have that feature working, though - anyone want to argue with me?

I think BVH you're spot on. A company like EBMM should build great basses (they do) AND maintain an up to date website, no excuses.

Lets not be afeared to be critical so long as it's done in a constructive way.
