Thanks very much for the tips. I gather that the MM115B is based on the 1600B chassis. On the backplate it reads 1600-B-DOM.
I have an intermittent hiss that may or may not be present when I switch on. When present, it tends to vary in intensity, but is independent of any volume or tone settings. I am wondering if there is a ground problem. Or could it be something worse??
