    Back in college my roommate (who was a bassist as well) and I did a rendition of "Big Bottom" with the guitarist from his band playing bass as well (3 basses total). Lots of fun! The people in the audience who got the reference reacted well, but those that did not were somewhat stunned.

    ...and shocked.
