    Arin, your 1001 (IIRC) isn't as old as mine so yours should be covered by the warranty. If not, i'm sure the guys will hook you up. Call GK customer service and ask to speak to Gene. He's the best guy you can talk to.

    I assume that only your rig caught on fire, no one else had a problem. Could be one of the power FET's could have shorted and cause a ground short, which will cause a huge amount of current to be drawn. The fuse in the amp should have prevented this from occuring or at least, the breaker should have tripped.
    Oh well, good reason to buy a bigger rig!

    I had to send my 1001RB (not an mkII) to GK for repairs a couple months ago. He was great to deal with. They even put mkII components in when they did the repair so now I have a GK 1001RB mkII in a 1001RB mkI box.

    Arin, I also have this same head.... Gallien-Krueger 1001 RB-II ..... Do what Stanky said, call GK Customer Service, ask for Gene Lopes.
