Big culture shock for me here. Our retail stores are open until 8 to 9 PM here in Kali.

Stores there had opening hours on Sunday till about 5pm. There was a SuperMarket in Haworth, the town I was staying at, that was open till 1030pm on Sundays.

Man that bugs me about Europe. It's as if the whole continent rolls up their sidewalks on Sundays. The only thing open on Sundays in Spain were the churches and VIPS. I love VIPS.

I've lived in Europe all my life. Germany and Italy. Germany, stores are usually closed on Sundays. Italy, stores are closed Sundays (some (65%) even Monday mornings and some of those (5%) all day Monday) and from 1200-1500(12-3) for lunch daily.

My brother-in-law used to live in Greenville, South Carolina and the same applies there on a Sunday.

At first it frustrated the heck out of me. Nowadays, after talking about that subject with my father, I'm beginning to appreciate the idea of not having anywhere to go one day of the week.
