All 5 of the grey hairs I've plucked out of my head in these past few years have been the conisistency of steel wool too.

My first gray hairs showed up before I hit 30. I've got a lot more of them now, and the consistency doesn't change. As long as I keep the hair I've got, though, I don't much care what color it is.

Having a cancer scare a year ago put some serious stress on me.
One morning, I noticed some gray hairs and began to worry about that the stress was making me gray.
Until I mentioned it to the wife. She said "Oh no, you've had that gray for ages"....

Well.. back when I had hair on my head.. it was pretty heavily gray on the sides.. and I was only 30. Now.. My goatee is mostly all gray, and those nose & ear hairs.. they're gray too... lol
Yeah... the gray ones always seem more wiry and stiff than the non-gray hairs... Why does the lack of color pigment make thme that way??

No gray hair for me yet.....but I keep my head shaved, so when they DO come, I won't notice!!!
