I just sold my Ric for a Stingray with 2 humbuckers. It was the absolute BEST move I've ever made.

The Ray is a much more versatile bass. I like the feel of the neck much better.

Ever since MM came out with the double humbucker Rays I've wanted one. I'm so glad that I finally got one. I'll never regret selling the Ric to get it either, since I feel I got a much better bass.

I can't speak for Ricks but all my MMs past and present were consistently well made and are worth the asking $$$.

I still wonder why I GAS for a Rick though. I wish I could just rent one, find out what it's about, then return it.
I've never played an EBMM bass or a Ric bass, but in fairness to Rickenbacker, their CEO John Hall is every bit as active and helpful on the Ric forums as Sterling Ball is on here. I own guitars from both companies but sadly at the moment basses from neither.
