    That's too funny

My first bass was a fender and of course as a newbe I forgot the neck was much longer than a lead guitar and immediatly put it through a sheet rock wall. Didn't even knock the bass out of tune (not that I could tell back then anyways)!!!!

Out of my 3 basses, the one I feel like playing at that time stays out and the other 2 stay in the case. As I'm typing this, I'm favoring the Blue Dawn Sterling, especially since it just got restrung with some Extra Slinky's.

Usually, I keep the Sterling on the wall with it's likewise valuable six-string brethren, (except for whichever one that is on duty that day, which will be on a stand next to the teeny little box of tubes used to amplify such things...)

Out in the living room, next to bass rig, one of Sterling's less-valuable colleagues usually stands ready.

Interestingly, I too, have a young child in the house, but she is well-trained and knows not to mess with Daddy's toys--kind of like the scene in Spinal Tap where Nigel is showing his collection to Marty--"Don't even look at that one."
    Bye, everybody!

One bass and a guitar are on stands. The rest sits in cases.

My studio is really just one big case, with a lot of basses in it. Good night.

Never, ever leave any guitars out. Are you mad? I've got 3 boys!!! Hence, the purple colour of my EVH is the same today as it left the factory.

    Current EBMM Instuments are:
    • EBMM EVH - Purple - 1994
    • EBMM Stingray 30th Anniversary Fretless - 2006
