Talking one stroke at a time

it's been a bummer here on rehab second floor for the last few days but some progress is being made; yesterday and today were standing / reaching and, puzzle / problem solving tests in Occupational Therapy and I'm lucky to be worked on by one of the best in the profession and certainly in Vancouver

same good luck put me under the care of a really fine Physical Therapist who actually got my left hand/ armmoving today for the first time since April 1 when the CVA (stroke) put me on the floor. She explained that one of the reasons my left hand/fingers have been so fixed/stiff in a curled position for the last month and 1/2 is because the curled fingers are the most frequent position/muscle action for pressing strings to frets (bass playing ) which was my most frequent and routine left hand posture before the stroke... The fascinating and encouraging news after that was her suggestion that maybe I should arrange for a bass to be brought in to the rehab unit for some handtherapy

whatever happens from now on is up to God - I'm still in lots of trouble and I certainly do'nt recommend CVAs as a good way to get attention as a bass player, lots of practice and Music Man basses is the preferred way to go :Trust Me

Hey, if you need a headphone amp, I have one of those Korg things that I never use. I forget what it's called (and where it is, but I could find it).

Yours for however long you need it, man.

How did I miss this? Did it happen over the last couple of weeks, I was on vacation in Germany and didn't log on the whole two weeks? Sorry to hear that.

How old are you? I hope you make a speedy recovery.
