Thanks for the kind words guys.

I have been lurking here for quite a while waiting until I finally got the stingray.
Its probably been a year since I knew the SR5 was the bass I wanted and until I finally had the funds to purchase.

The original owner didn't know the color name - from looking at the color charts and as mynan pointed out I think it is Carbon Blue Pearl.

When I was thinking of buying new - I was only looking at translucent colors and plain headstock. I wouldn't have chosen this color and definitely not matching headstock... but as soon as I saw it I knew that was the color combo for me!!
    Looks killer in person.

If you head over to the Music Man Serial Number Database thread you can get the offical skinny on the birthday and options of your particular bass.

That must be the nicest Stingray 5 I've ever seen (next to a 20th/BFR of course!)

    Current EBMM Instuments are:
    • EBMM EVH - Purple - 1994
    • EBMM Stingray 30th Anniversary Fretless - 2006

I must agree with the labour of my neighbour, colour is the proper way to spell it out here and there's no two ways aboot() it, that's a great colour on that bass
