Woohoo! - the Minimark has landed .

Initial impressions - sounds fantastic in my flat. Incredible sound for such a lightweight combo - not a lot of control on the EQ, but hell - that's what I got a Stingray for ...

and no more humping the Trace Elliot down 2 flights of stairs 9and then back up again)

Amp in 1 hand, bass in the other - fantastic!

Next job is to see how it copes in the rehearsal room, but very impressed so far. I can always run a line out to an external cab if I have to.

Congrats, it looks great man. Can't wait to hear what you think of it after practice with a band.

Getting close to a certain age I am very envious of that lightweightedness... Ashdown, like TE, are big in the hip-displacing-back-grinding-weight department.

Where did you get the Minimark from? I guess there's places in London that have MB, in Zummerset there's zilch and I really want to try one out

    Stingray 4 H Trans Teal/Maple/Black

    Bongo 4 H Sapphire Black/Rosewood/Black Ice Dec 03
Bongo 5HSp Blue Dawn/Black (on loan from strummer)
... and one day a Bongo 6 will be in my life
    ... and a 25th HSS 5er... and a Dargie 2 anything

It sounds like all the other Markbass amps, clean, clear and surprisingly loud. There is not a huge amount of tonal range with this amp but although it doesn't have a 7 band EQ that I'm used to, it has the VPF which makes it very easy to get a good sound.

You get the sound of the bass and that's pretty much it. Which I'm happy about as I like the sound of my basses! I think you need a decent quality instrument to get the best out of this little baby though.

I am impressed (and surprised) by the amount of 'bottom' thrown out by the 2 6" speakers - obviously doesnt shift the air like a 15", but very impressed nontheless. Certainly 'bassy' enough for my taste.

Greydad - Haven't seen any in the shops over here yet - I had to do some phoning round, but ElectroHill says they are in stock , London Music will get some in in the near future, as will the Bass Cellar.

Oh Jimi I like!!! I've been trying to find out the price of that over here, but Proel never answer my emails! Do you mind letting me know how much you shelled out for that baby?

    I'm in love
