    Unhappy Lost a friend

hey guys this a bit OT but not all the way OT.... anywho the guy that has sold me my EB strings for years now passed away recently due to an injury sustained on a rollercoaster. Keith (who worked at gelb music in Redwood City CA) was a super awesome guy - super funny, always nice and just kicked ass. he was a great player too - id checked out one of his acoustic bands a few times.

Anywho... the connection to EB being that Keith was the guy who'd order me tons of Stainless Slinkys since they're not normally stocked. maybe some of the MM folks will recognize his name if you'd dealt with him for sales or orders etc

Its a huge bummer. i pretty much visit the store on a weekly basis and its gonna suck not seeing him around anymore.

I guess that's life for ya.

for any of you from the bay area that may have also been regulars at Gelb (one of the best shops around) you can check out his memorial page at: Gelb Music - Keith [Ketman] Shirasawa

wow...I am in utter and total shock!! Keith was one of my accounts for for 3+ years......he truely was a great-great guy!!!! We shared some common likes and I always enjoyed talking to Keith!! Keith was a huge baseball fan and season ticket holder. He is one of those people who is genuine he didn't really beat around the bush but ALWAYS made time to say hello and make you feel welcome!! He really was one of my favorites. Just and all around good guy from a personal and business standpoint!! Redwood City really will be missing out on a great man!!!

Appreciate your loved ones always, we're lucky to make the relationships we do and should cherish them all!!

    You'll be missed Keith!!
