I made the pic guard out of a mud flap 5 years ago. Too bad the new subs look similar.

wow ... nice job
but now it seems that your ray 'degrade' to sub level![]()
I know, I about cried when i saw they had "diamon plate" on the subs. At least mine is real diamond plate. Only problem is that it shreds pics like a B%&ch
Thats a pretty sweet lookin 'Ray you got there cybrpunk![]()
...and on the 8th Day...God created Music Man Guitars...I love God.
Very nice! But the focus is kinda off, no? Also, is that strap button a different one than the stock?

Yeah, it's one of the older style dunlop straplocks before they made them so you can use straps without the straplock installed. The picture is out of focus too. I was borrowing a friends digital camrea which kept washing out the color if the flash was on so I had to keep it off. I just had it arround to take pictures of my Warwick Thumb 5 string I'm trying to trade for a Sterling.
Oh, and its the trans teal not green. The color balance of the pic is off

There's an easy way to prevent this problem---stop using picks!
Some call me the "Gangster of Love"
hey cyber
or your could open your own industry doing the 'original' diamond plate
and sell it to future SUBs hahaha
Looks like a quality job, with having real diamond plate does it make your bass alot heavier?
I haven't noticed any difference weight wise. The Diamond plate is made out of aluminum so it's pretty light.
I like very much the chrome scratchplates. They look very cool but not on honeyburst or generally vintage colored models.
