TUBE head!

new / used

If you want cheap tube there is a solution. Get a cheap tube mic pre(like the Behringer, or better the Presonus tubepre), connect it with your DI and then to your power amp. Presto, you hve a tube sound!!

I use he Peavey T Bass amp that switches between tube and solid state that way you use what you want and if a tube goes bad (which is rare) you can switch to the solid state side.

Ampeg SVT4PRO for my hybrid

just never tried an all tube kinda thingy

I have always wanted an all tube setup, I think it sounds better. Do you know of any really good all tube amps for Bass?

I just LUV my Mesa Boogie 400+

. 12 Power + 4 preamp = 16 tubes total. Tons of fat, thick warm, loud tone.

Did I say LOUD?

In my area the stores always cater to the guitar players but most don't carry much toys for the Bass players. We used to have a Mars music store near that I loved but they closed it down. We have Guitar center here but they are almost always abused and over crowded.
