Dang, that's a load of cash. I think I'll stick with what I have for now (which I'm more than happy with).
I borrowed a 400+ for a gig once, the sound coming from it was crazy. I didn't know how to EQ it right (you got to set it some strange way for it to be "flat"), and I had a lot of high end coming out of my cab. It sure made an impression on me, though. So that's what makes me curious about the Walkabout. Some day I'll give the Mesa Boogie stuff a go again.

I have the Walkabout 15 & it is THE best amp I've ever played through. I have never had the volume past 12 o'clock for any gig & the tone is sweet. Bongo + Walkabout = a happy Grump.![]()
I love my Walkabout combo! I have yet to find a gig where this badboy didn't cut it. The EQ takes some time to really get the clearest sound out of it, but when ya do, there's none better. Quality, tone, and VOLUME! Loudest combo I've ever used. With a Stingray five set flat, this thing will blow the walls down. Only time it wasn't enough was with a LOUD metal band, but I pulled the head, plugged into a 2-15 and put the guitarist in his place. Pricey, but worth it
I have one. It's the most you can have with a combo.
