I have a couple of Eden D112XLT's and a WT-550 and I have the tweeters almost all the way off for the same reason... I need to improve my technique.

I also have a 3-way Euphonic Audio cabinet that I almost cannot use for the same reason. Way to bright!

Thank goodness my Stingray has great tone controls on-board!

The d112xlts have massive midrange....most Eden players turned down the tweeter on them.

What do the tweeters have to do with the massive midrange?! Tweeters generally start above 3kHz, and that's not really bass midrange anymore...
    Have bass. Will play.

I don't have a problem with tweeters in fact i like them, but if you have bad technique all you hear thru them are fret noise, hiss, and clackines in general.

On the other hand some people just love that old school sound.

Technically not much, but I would say for the "overall" sound turning down the tweeter helps curb some of the perceived high / mid range. Just my opinion...it's not all about watts, dB, ohms, spl ratings, etc. I leave the tweeter in my d210xst set perfectly at 12 o'clock (flat, no boost or cut). Works fine for me. The D112xlt is a different cab however.
