Am I allowed to say how happy I am ?

    Hi Knuckleheads,

First be informed this message is _VERY_ banal. Thanks for understanding.

I'm back from rehearsal, and the more I play my SR5, the more I am happy to be a bass player. And most specifically, to be a bass player with an SR5 in his hands.

I love that typical growl which is the essential element of the tone I want, and then things are so easy. No matter which nuance I want to get in my tone, it takes half a second to get it.

That neck is probably the most comfortable I ever played. I was absolutely sure I prefered a slightly wider string spacing, especially for slap, but the fact is, this one is the right one for me.

My SR5 and me are like two hearts beating as one. We complement each other the finest way. I'm sure no custom made bass I could ever imagine and have built would fit me better.

This is my third SR5 and sixth MM through the years. Yes, I was stupid enough 5 times to sell each of them the previous ones. But I want to say here than since I got this one, 5 months ago, I lost that nasty habit I had to always look out if the grass was greener elsewhere.

Since I have this one, I even play more than before. Hard to put my hands off of it.

Now I guess it's time for me to consider a second EBMM. A 4-string Stingray sister is needed to offer an even wider palette of pleasures...

Congrats to the whole EBMM staff, and thanks to everyone here for the love you share your passion with.

    Cheers
    Jean

Same here... since I switched back to MMs, I practice much more, because I really enjoy just playing those basses... the sound is what I've always wanted. And they actually make me play better, because I'm more satisfied with the sound I get from my basses, because I can hear myself better, and because I'm more relaxed when playing.
    Have bass. Will play.

    You suck at jumping fences.

SR5s are damn good basses aren't they?

I just bought back (yes bought back) an SR5 that I regretfully sold two years ago. It is a beautifully grained one-piece body natural finish single H (circa 2000 I bleeb) that Armybass sold to me via the Dudepit. I sold it cause I needed cash at the time and held onto a fretless Sterling. Sold the Sterling to get a 55-02 Lakland, sold that one to get a Dingwall Afterburner-II...and now I'm back to EBMM! I should be getting it tomorrow. Can't wait to lay my hands on it once again! Thanks to my buddy Charley (eadg98005) for agreeing to part with it and let it find its way back home! Thanks bro.

Should I ever decide to part with it again..it will most likely go back to Charley!
