    Sub5: dropouts while playing

I'm playing an SUB5 Bass and I'm actually very content with it. Recently I've had a problem where the sound sometimes goes away when I touch/move the plug. Sometimes I can also hear something like a bang, so to me it seems that the power supply goes away.

I know that there's a switch for the power supply in the jack, so possibly there's a problem or the connection is bad.

Is there anything I can check or do to resolve this problem?

    Thanks.

What kind of guitar cable do you use? Some plugs are actually abit smaller than some others and this can create problems. Specially abit cheaper, asian, plugs. No good. I use Neutric plugs most of the time and they are great. Either that or it might be a faulty jack on your bass. Try with a good quality cord first. The other thing is to install a new jack in the bass.

The other thing would be to contact Customer Service and see what they say. They are the best!

I use Neutrik-Plugs, so I think this should not be the problem. Actually I would just change the jack, but it's connected directly to the board. Does every standard-jack fit or is this a special model?

    Thanks.

That is a question that you might want to ask the EBMM Customer service folks about. I dont know. But I do know that I don´t like it at all when they solder the jack directly on the board. Better to use regular jacks and cables between.....
