This is a discussion on BFR StingRay teaser..... within the Music Man Basses forums, part of the Gear Talk category; will try to get better pics today but here we go with the Mahog neck'd, CRAZY OLD redwood topped BFR ...

    That has got to be one of the most amazing tops I have ever seen on a bass or guitar. I love my 30th, but dang that thing makes me crazy.

    At the risk (100%) of being totally redundant ... yeah, what's the body made of?

    And Oli, I doubt there'd be any figuring to the Mahogany neck. Probably just the "plain ol'" gorgeous characteristics of Mahogany, which can actually be highly iridescent when finished with that in mind. And I'm sure these are.

    Actually, I wanted to know whether it is with a glossy finish, or a satin finish or some sort of oil & wax.
